“BRIDGE” project

About the project:

      British Council in Russia offers a number of programs for maintaining specialists from different fields to enter into European common social and free market zone. BRIDGE (British Diplomas in Russia) is one of these programs. The project is financed by the British Ministry of Education and Professional Training and carried out with the help and direct participation of the National Manpower Development Fund.

 

The goals of the project:

  • the development of British-Russian collaboration in higher education by means of double diplomas or certificates of studies in professional training programs.
  • the creation of programs of university education development in accordance with the principals of the Bologna Declaration.

 

The results of the projects:

      Following the project, the university partnerships are being formed. They use double diplomas (qualifications), and they are ready for self-sustaining after the allocated funds are over.

  

"BRIDGE" in Kursk, Russia

      200 Russian universities and colleges took part in the British Council’s specialist training development program grant competition by the year of 2006, but only 12 of them, including MGU and SpbGU, have won this grant. ROSI has become one of the winners among non-state institutes of higher education.

     Since September 2007 the double diplomas program “English for Professional Communication: European Union Law Expert” is being realized in ROSI.
